Volunteer with Us in Daruvar, Croatia — Individual Volunteering Opportunity

Join Impress Association in Daruvar, Croatia, for a meaningful 4-month individual volunteering placement through the European Solidarity Corps. Daruvar is a charming small town known for thermal springs and a relaxed pace of life, close enough for exploring, intimate enough to feel like home.

 

Your activities:

• Engage with youth and support community development
• Teach English to local children and youth
• Organise activities for the elderly (inclusion, tech, creative workshops)
• Organise inclusive activities for youth with disabilities and with fewer opportunities
• Promote ESC and European values, create content and manage social media
• Take part in intercultural events
• Support our Open Wardrobe sustainability initiative
• Help maintain our youth centre

This placement means real growth: practical skills, cross-cultural friendships and impact on the community.

Akkomodazzjoni, ikel u arranġamenti tat-trasport

Accommodation is arranged and covered by Impress Association for the full duration of the placement. Volunteers are hosted in shared housing , typically with rooms shared between two participants, including all basic amenities needed for daily life. Food and pocket money allowance provided, giving volunteers flexibility to manage their own meals, cooking together at the accommodation or exploring local options. Travel costs to and from Daruvar are reimbursed according to Erasmus+ distance band rules.

Taħriġ matul l-attività

Volunteers receive structured training throughout the placement: On-Arrival Training to settle in and meet other volunteers in Croatia. Ongoing support includes online language courses, regular mentoring from Impress staff, and hands-on learning in youth work, non-formal education, and digital content creation. At the end of the placement, volunteers receive a Youthpass certificate recognising the skills gained. This structured approach ensures continuous support and concrete, recognised outcomes for future studies or careers.

Profil tal-parteċipant

We're looking for motivated young people aged 18–30, ready to engage with community work, intercultural exchange, and non-formal education. No prior professional experience is required, what matters most is genuine interest in youth work, social inclusion, or creative activities, along with openness, reliability, and willingness to step outside your comfort zone. Basic English communication skills are helpful, as many activities involve direct interaction with local participants.
