We are looking for one volunteer who has not previously participated in an ESC Humanitarian Aid individual volunteering project and who will join us in Tanzania within the framework of the VOLACT project! You will learn how to support the MEAL (Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning) team in creating and adapting project monitoring tools, assessing needs and putting best practices and lessons learnt into action. You will gain knowledge of data analysis, evidence-based decision-making, education, environmental protection and awareness-raising activities, as well as how collaborate with local communities.

Ubytovanie, strava a doprava

The Host Organization will cover the accommodation costs and utility bills and you will be provided with free Wi-fi, a local sim card and a laptop. The project will cover your travel costs from your place of origin to the venue of the activity and return, food and local travel costs in the host country. You will receive a pocket money for your personal expenses throughout the duration of the activity. Insurance (Henner) will be activated for the whole duration of your deployment.

Odborná príprava počas činnosti

You will attend an online pre-departure training on WeWorld’s work and policies, technical and thematic aspects of humanitarian aid, Safety&Security, mentoring, and practical arrangements (visa, insurance, etc). Once in the country, you will participate in an on-arrival training on the Host organization and your role during the deployment. We encourage you to participate in training opportunities during your deployment, online or organized by our national and international partners; you will have a small budget for external courses and you will have access to WeWorld e-learning platform.

Profil účastníka

We look for a motivated person, ready to socialize and experience a different culture, able to adapt and work in a team for a period of 6 months. Are you interested in monitoring and evaluation and international cooperation? You will be supported by a line manager and a field mentor that will follow up on your volunteering experience.

Please note that the total amount of time spent by a young person in European Solidarity Corps volunteering activities must not exceed 12 months. Activities carried out under Erasmus+ volunteering/European Voluntary Service count towards the total of 12 months allowed.
