The Festival of Solidarity is an event dedicated to promoting and celebrating solidarity that embraces the wider world and others. Each year, associations, local authorities, schools, socio-cultural organizations, social economy actors, citizen groups, and others organize. These events aim to inspire citizens of all ages to take action for a world that is just, inclusive, and sustainable.
This project brings together a team of five volunteers for a one-month period, from November 16th to December 16th, 2026. It will take place in the city of Saint-Étienne, a city with a rich mining history. The project will comprise three main areas:
- Culture and testimony: collecting accounts from residents about their relationship with the mine.
- Education and fighting stereotypes: designing activities for children to foster discovery, open-mindedness, and intercultural exchange, and to fight against xenophobia.
- Intercultural : working within a multicultural group to achieve a common goal.
