Become a Volunteer in Cultural and Social Centre for Neighbours

Gdynia has several Neighbourhood Centres, each offering a welcoming space where local residents meet, share passions, and create initiatives together. These are places full of energy, creativity, and openness – perfect for developing your interests, meeting new people, and building intergenerational connections. We are currently looking for two volunteers to join two different Neighbourhood Centres in Gdynia: Przystań Śmidowicza 49 and Przystań Widna 2A. Each volunteer will become part of the local community and support activities and initiatives organised in their respective centre.
As a volunteer at the Centre you will:
- support animators in organizing meetings and events,
- have the chance to carry out your own ideas for neighbors,
- get involved in activities such as workshops, intercultural meetings, community gardening, creating content for social media, or helping at Swap Points.
Akkomodazzjoni, ikel u arranġamenti tat-trasport
Volunteer will be provided with monthly Pocket money and tickets for buses in Gdynia to go to work. Volunteer will share a room with 2-3 other volunteers in a rented flat. Gdynia ESC volunteers live in a few flats in different districts of the city and work in more than 10 different locations (libraries, NGOs, neighbourhood centres etc). Together with their mentors (local volunteers) they create a large, international and lively community of around 35 young people.
Taħriġ matul l-attività
Volunteer will participate in training provided by National Agency (On-arrival training and Mid-term training) as well as trainings run and and organized by supporting organization.
Profil tal-parteċipant
We are looking for an open-minded, empathetic volunteer who is eager to act, learn, and connect with people of all ages. If you enjoy sharing your passions and interests with others – you’re welcome here! Experience in community work, teamwork, or time management will be an extra advantage. The activity is open for candidates from all the EU countries + Armenia, Belarus, Georgia, Ukraine and Turkey. Please remember that you cannot work nor study during the ESC activity. Duration of the activity 9-12 months. Activity shall start in February / March 2027.
