Deskrizzjoni tal-Organizzazzjoni

We are a parental organized school for kids aged 5-16 years old. Currently (2020) our school has 29 pupils and employs 4 teachers who spend their time mostly being with the kids and supporting their self-organized learning. Our principles root in the pedagogical ideas of Maria Montessori, Rebecca and Mauricio Wild, Gerald Hüther and many others who believe that children want to learn if they have the chance to. This in concrete means that our pupils spend their days however they decide to with whomever they would like to. Sometimes they study, sometimes they play, sometimes they quarrel, sometimes they do nothing - and our teachers always accompany them and support them in their individual goals.
For this school we take one volunteer per year (September-July) who mainly supports the teachers in their work. We welcome any young people who are interested in working with children and learn something new about pedagogics, about learning, teaching and studying. We are looking for open minded people who want to support us in our goals and who we are willing to support in their goals.
