Die Einrichtung Lichtenau e.V. ist ein Verbund von Medizin, Rehabilitation und Pflege in stationären, teilstationären und
ambulanten Bereichen mit Hauptsitz in Hessisch Lichtenau . In dem gesamten Verbund arbeiten über tausend Menschen
in verschiedenen Einrichtungen.
Aufnahmestelle sind die Ambulanten Dienste Nordhessen gGmbH in Kassel.
Zu deren Aufgaben gehört unter anderem die individuelle Begleitung von Menschen mit Beeinträchtigung in der Abteilung
Persönliche Assistenz, in der Schulassistenz und in der Freizeitgestaltung von Kindern und Jugendlichen. Die
Teilnehmenden des Europäischen Freiwilligendienstes werden bei uns in verschiedenen Förderschulen in Kassel
eingesetzt. In ihrer Tätigkeit ermöglichen sie Schülerinnen und Schülern mit verschiedenen Formen der Beeinträchtigung
die Teilnahme am Unterricht, bei Ausflügen und auf Klassenfahrten. Ziel der Hilfe ist für die Kinder und Jugendlichen eine
optimale Teilnahme am Unterrichtsgeschehen und in den persönlichen Lebens- und Lernentwicklung zu erreichen. Die
individuelle Unterstützung trägt dazu bei eine Integration in die Gemeinschaft zu verwirklichen und die Inklusion in der
Schule mitzugestalten.

The diaconal organization "Lichtenau e.V." means a group of medicine, rehabilitation and care in stationary, part-stationary and ambulant areas with head office in Hessisch-Lichtenau. In the whole group more than 1000 employees work in different facilities. Hosting place are the "Ambulante Dienste Nordhessen gGmbH" in Kassel, a 100% daughter of "Lichtenau e.V.". Among other things belongs the individual support of profoundly disabled persons and the personal assistance to their general field of application as well as children in Kindergartens, youngsters in schools und family-relieving aid. From the ambulant services the participant of the EVS are deployed in different schools in the city of Kassel. In their activities the volunteers allow an individual company for school children that need help in different ways as well as cooperation in the class associtation. The participation of the volunteers is job market-neutral. The aim of the help is to reach an optimum participation in the teaching events and the personal life development and learning development to the children and youngsters in the special school. On this occasion, only the help is offered which is necessary to grant a maximum in autonomy to the children and youngsters. The individual support serves to realise an integration in the local community. Another goal is to form the sectors of language, work and life sphere to create the basis for a possible inclusion.
