The KINDERRING Berlin was founded in 1991 to enable cooperation between pedagogues from the formerly divided Eastern and Western parts of the city. Today, we have several city-wide projects as well as youth clubs in many districts that specialize in children, teenagers and young adults respectively. With a wide variety of profiles from music, art and cinema to sports, handcrafting and gardening our unifying guidelines are solidarity and participation. Through all our different activities we want to support young people to shape projects, trips and more to their liking. In our minds, this does not only inspire unique experiences but also teach democratic practices that we want to champion and develop with our target groups. Furthermore, our focus on cultural exchange facilitates European values and helps young people to widen their horizons. With these goals in mind we strive towards a more tolerant, just and inclusive society.
