Asociatia Nationala de Dezvoltare Continua a Tineretului din Romania (ANDCTR) have been borne in 2010, thanks to the initiative of 6 extremely motivated young people, willing to get involved in the life of the local community.
The goal of the association is to support the sustainable development of the civil society and of the environment, by implementing and developing socio-cultural activities, by cultivating collaboration and exchange of good practices between Romania and youth and volunteering organizations from other countries.

By achieving this goal the association has proposed to meet the following objectives:
1. Involvement in identifying and solving of social impact issues
2. Involvement for social inclusion and in favor of people/groups with fewer opportunities or special needs
3. Promoting volunteering at local and international level, as and instrument for change and social inclusion
4. Defending and promoting human rights among youth, through social activities
5. Facilitation of youth intercultural exchanges between young people from all around the world, without any matter about culture, religion, ethnicity, nationality, etc

From its foundation to present time, ANDCTR have been developing and is still doing, a variety of volunteering, training and consultancy activities, but much more projects through European Voluntary Service (sending, hosting, and coordinating).
Nowadays, the association has a young and dynamic team, created by members that have been working in students associations where have been gathering extensive and important experiences in working with young people and organizing events.

In the context of international cooperation developed in the field of youth, ANDCTR maintained the connection, collaborated and is still doing it with 20 youth organizations from different countries. Through this international network, the representatives of ANDCTR are involved in experiences and good practices exchanges between youth workers and are facilitating the communication beyond the cultural or national barriers, following the direction of active citizenship in the local community.
