Deskrizzjoni tal-Organizzazzjoni

The Ecosystem Restoration Camps was created following the captivating idea of John D. Liu that WE the people can restore degraded land and create a paradise on earth for generations to come. The Ecosystem Restoration Camps is pioneering a simple elegant solution to all of these problems. We are working to design and build Ecosystem Restoration Camps where people from all walks of life can come together to rebuild the soil, the water cycle and the wondrous biodiversity wherever it has been lost.

We envision a fully-functional, peaceful, abundant, biologically diverse Earth brought about through cooperative efforts for the ecological restoration of degraded lands.

Our aim is to work together to restore ecological functionality, to engage people in inquiry into ecological restoration, to train people in existing techniques and for the innovation of new techniques for restoring degraded lands in perpetuity.

We believe that all beings are equal and endowed with certain inalienable rights. We voluntarily, joyfully and with peaceful intent wish to restore basic ecological function so that all people and other living beings can live together in harmony. We choose to work together to restore the fundamental ecological integrity of the Earth and to train large numbers of people to do this, so that methods learned can be adopted throughout the world.

The first Ecosystem Restoration Camp has been set up in Southern Spain at the border of Murcia, Andalusia and Almeria regions. This Camp will host volunteers, trainings and workshops on regenerative agriculture and large-scale restoration techniques. During their mobility experience, the volunteers will contribute to the Spanish Ecosystem Restoration Camp as members of the Restoration Team while at the same time co-creating a self-sufficient Camp, producing their own food and energy, and building social harmony. Volunteers will also contribute by sharing their knowledge with the surrounding communities. The first Spanish Camp is already a hub for knowledge, innovation and international collaborations.
