Opis organizácie

We are a Waldorf kindergarten located in Klagenfurt am Wörthersee, which is charmingly situated in the south of Austria, close to the borders with Slovenia and Italy. It was founded in 1975 and has a toddler group (1.5-3 year olds) and 3 kindergarten groups (3-6 year olds). Our goal or main theme is to care for and accompany children from 1.5 years to about 6 years or until they start school. Through the varied and rich sensory experiences of Waldorf education and embedded in the daily, weekly and annual rhythms with their respective festivals, the kindergarten offers the children a protected and thriving framework for growth and individual development. A few years later, a second location was opened in Viktring, about 6 kilometers away. This consists of a toddler group and a kindergarten group. Both locations have a large garden for playing. The 3-6 year olds also go with the educators once a week to the nearby forest, where they can give free rein to their spirit of movement and exploration in the open nature in the morning. A total of 110 children in groups of 20 children in the kindergarten and 12-15 children in the toddler group are cared for and accompanied by at least 2-3 teachers from Monday to Friday from 7:00 am to 3:00 pm.
