The GIAN (Gruppo Italiano Amici della Natura - Italian Naturefriends) was founded 40 years ago as Italian National Group of the movement Naturefriends International. Its aims are: sustainable tourism, thanks to its Naturefriends' houses all among Italy; nature education; living nature for everyone; international solidarity; ecology. Each local section of GIAN organises regular courses and meetings about the main topics of the association and about the local peculiarities of the area where the section acts.
