The purpose of the organization “REACH” is to raise social welfare. The target audience of the Society is families and individuals from social risk groups.
Our operational tasks are:
• to provide social assistance,
• to develop various measures and projects for any socially disadvantaged groups,
• to increase their social well-being,
• to organize social services for short-term and / or long-term social care and / or social rehabilitation institutions especially for persons of retirement age.

The Senior House "Zilaiskalns" (hereinafter SN "Zilaiskalns") is a unit of the organization REACH. Senior House "Zilaiskalns" is a social services provider. The purpose of SN "Zilaiskalns" is to create favorable and active living conditions for persons of retirement age and to provide the necessary social care and / or social rehabilitation services to persons who have objective difficulties in taking care of themselves due to age and functional impairments.
In order to achieve its goal, Seniors House fulfills the following tasks:

• to provide a favorable environment based on Christian ethics for all residents of the Senior House, regardless of their nationality, gender, race, age or physiological needs;

• provides availability of regular christian spiritual care activities to all clients (Bible study, prayers, speeches and presentations, concerts, etc.) at the Senior House's premises, inviting spiritual staff and volunteers;

• organizes cultural and recreational activities in the Senior House's premises, possibilities for meaningful spending time;

• clients together with the staff, plans to attend cultural and sporting events, as well as dddengage in various activities outside the Senior House (concerts, exhibitions, gardening, dddberry picking, mushroom picking, angling, etc., sport activities, etc.);

• provides assistance to the client in solving individual social problems and, if necessary, organizes legal assistance;

• maintains contacts and provides communication with the client's relatives, sponsors, friends;

• provides for the maintenance of life and self-care skills, support or training;

• provides the client with a living space equipped with the necessities for everyday life, taking dddinto account the client’s age, functional condition and psychological compatibility;

• provides the client, as much as possible, according to sex and season for a suitable footwear, clothing, bed linen, as well as towels and first need supplies for basic personal hygiene.

• organizes rational vegetarian meals, at least three times a day, taking into account the client’s age and state of health;

• provides the client with emergency medical assistance, registration with the general practitioner and client’s health care according to the plan prescribed by the family doctor;

• taking into account the needs of clients, organizes for the costumers the availability of special technical aids - wheelchairs, walkers, specially equipped toilet chairs and squadron crutches;

• organizes the client’s social care and rehabilitation activities according to the client’s physical and mental condition.
