Deskrizzjoni tal-Organizzazzjoni

Tola Occupational Center provides people with intellectual disabilities with comprehensive habilitative care through occupational programs and personal and social paths (development and improvement of adaptive skills) seeking the development of personal autonomy and the social-labor integration of our users. We aim at achieving a significant improvement of the quality of life of the People with Intellectual Disability through an integral enabling attention focused on the person and their environment. The Center currently has a total of 16 workers / professionals divided into: Management and Management Area, Communication and Community Relations Area, Therapeutic Coordination Area, Direct Attention Area and Workshops, General Coordination Area and Support Staff , General Services Area and Administration: 1 director, 2 psychologists, 1 physiotherapist, 10 workshop leaders and 1 person of Domestic Services. The target group reaches 80 places between 18 and 65 years old. In addition to the staff members, TOLA has agreements with educational institutions for internships of students both at national and international level.
Our activities take place during all the year. We have a cycle like a school, starting in September and finishing in summer (around July). Our activities are mainly during the week, even if many weekends we also have different events. Our working hours are usually from 08'00-18'00, doing different activities and running different projects.
