The "T41" Daytime Social Rehabilitation and Educational Centre is a place that aims to pursue the goal of social integration through the development of the maximum personal autonomy possible, the learning of technical and operational skills and the improvement of communication skills for people with disability. It promotes the use of the resources available in the territory, so as to promote the exchange between our Centre, its users and the local community, avoiding the marginalization of people and the separation of the structure.
A fundamental aspect of the service is our "openness", which must be seen both as "opening of the Centre to the City and to the territory", and as a willingness to "make the Centre known to external subjects". This configuration determines the maximum availability for visits, collaboration and meetings with family members, Administrators, School Institutions, educators, volunteers and with all those who would like to know more and to deepen the encounter with this territorial service.
The Day Centre allows a daily life according to the rhythms that safeguard and enhance individual and group meetings between users and operators. The main objective of the service is the creation of a structure that is proposed as an intermediate area between the family and the territory, with the aim of working for the development of autonomy and integration of people with disabilities.
The service has the additional objective of activating different organizational models defined as mixed "School - Day Centre" paths, which benefit not only its users but also young students with disabilities, unable to live a real integration within the social context, such as the school for example, offering an acquisition of experiences in a protected and safe context represented by the Day Centre.
We cooperate with other local realities, and we managed to organise a musical in the theatre and a movie in the cinema with our users as actors and now we are starting to film the second movie.
