Klaipeda district public health bureau is a state institution that provides these servises:
monitoring of public health (for example: carries out an analysis of the health status of the population,
performong research that help identify causes of disease prevalence);
public health promotion services (for example: dissemination and preservation of health in the
municipality; health promotion consultancy; healthy lifestyle skills forming; planning and management
of health promotion activities).
public health services in preschool and school settings. (for children, parents, educators and support
staff, administration)
Currently, the Bureau has 47 employees, 12 of them work with volunteers.
The office provides services to various age groups - children and young people, working age and
elderly people. The volunteer, who has decided to practice at the public health bureau, will have the
opportunity to work with people of all ages and groups of different sizes who participate in projects or
activities organized by the institution, such as camps, research, health events, festivals, education,
monitoring.
