Deskrizzjoni tal-Organizzazzjoni

The Ark Children's Foundation prepares children and adolescents to start their life with confidence and fight against poverty in which they are being raised in Warsaw district of North Praga. In particular we are committed to children (from 6-15 year old) from socially disadvantaged backgrounds by organising meaningful activities after school. On a daily basis we provide free of charge hot meals and assistance for completing the homework. We are there to support, encourage and inspire the kids in many different ways. We organise football training sessions, German and English classes, swimming and art classes, holiday trips and various cultural activates. We teach them how to cook and eat healthy. All that to prepare their social skills and promote self-responsibility in order to be ready to start adult live with confidence. We give the kids opportunities to actively develop in accordance with their own interests. The founder and ambassador of the foundation is German football player Lukas Podolski. Conceptually the Ark comes from the German organisation „DieArche – Christliches Kinder- und Jugendwerk” with whom we work closely. „Die Arche” in Germany has already 25 facilities and is represented all over Germany,  supporting over 4.000 children.
Our mission is to improve living conditions of our children and prepare them for independent live. We focus on building relationship based on trust, stability and the feeling of belonging which they very much miss at their homes.
