Get Involved is a Bulgarian non-profit organization engaged in different youth and education-related activities in Bulgaria. It has been registered as a formal non-profit organisation in 2017 and until then it has been operating as a non-formal youth group, supporting and initiating different events and initiatives, and working on a number of projects as a partner or a volunteer. The Association actively cooperates to enhance and foster Bulgarian education and culture, supporting their effective and dynamic development, incorporating all good practices and examples established by other and more developed countries. It is one of the Association main priorities to help Bulgarian youth to improve their knowledge and understanding about European culture, traditions, habits and folklore. It is also involved in fostering children and students to express their artistic skills, to develop and meliorate their technical skills, talent and knowledge. The Association uses methods from non-formal education to work with young people and is trying to promote different methodologies, tools and instruments that are more interactive and better perceived by young people. Education and vocational training of the youth is what the Foundation envisions as a main priority and an essential step to young people’s further employment and social, professional and personal development. The association works with a focus on young people that have less opportunities in order to support their personal and professional development.
The organisation has been working with many Bulgarian and international NGOs in order to develop and support the improvement of the youth sector. With the main goal of supporting lifelong learning and development of young people, encouraging the mobility of individuals and providing opportunities to disadvantaged groups of the society.
The Association has as a target the following groups with the aim to support their development and improvement of skills and knowledge:
- Students up to the age of 18
- Youth – 18-30
- Youth workers – teachers, trainers, volunteers
- Marginalized groups from the society
- Personnel from foundations and non-profit organizations
Because of the many years working as an informal group, the team from the Association has strong experience in the youth sector and has organized different events, trainings and workshops in the field of future development and self-discovering.
