Youth regional center is a governmental organization which operates under the supervision of the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sport of Ajara. Due to the fact that the organization is government-funded, our target groups are determined by the youth policy document, which was established by the government of Georgia. Our beneficiaries are young people of age 14-29 who live, or study in the region of Ajara. It is crucial for the center to engage all young people of aforementioned criteria, despite their sex, gender, sexual orientation, beliefs, etc. The center has a quota system for activating young people living in the highland parts of the region, which ensures their maximum involvement in each project.

Despite the fact that the YRC was founded in 2019, we succeeded in planning and implementing a vast variety of projects which were designed to achieve the key aims of our center. It is worth mentioning that before the organization was founded, our team conducted a survey to indicate needs of our target groups. Based on research, the center has formed following aims:

Promoting active citizenship, solidarity, and tolerance ​​among young people.
Implementation and coordination of local, national, and international events and programs in the field of youth;
Involvement of young people in public, economic and cultural life, development and implementation of relevant programs to share international experience and establish connections;
Develop, implement and coordinate relevant programs to promote volunteerism, youth career, as well as professional development;
Develop, implement and coordinate relevant programs to identify and enhance intellectual and physical abilities of young people in the Ajara region, to properly manage their free time and promote healthy lifestyle;
Creating conditions for the inclusion and activation of young people with disabilities, as well as socially vulnerable people, in public life;
Communicating with local and international organizations, establishing links and deepening cooperation for the development of the youth sector;
Collecting and analyzing information on youth needs;
Creating appropriate conditions for revealing, forming, and developing the intellectual, personal, professional, and physical potential of the youth of the Autonomous Republic of Ajara based on the main directions of the state youth policy;
Deepening and promoting patriotism, environmental and civic values ​​among young people.

Overall, YRC has succeeded in implementing more than 100 projects with the total engagement of around 10 000 participants over 3 years, and more is coming.
