The Jesuit Mission / jesuitenweltweit is the aid organisation of the German Jesuits. The Jesuit Mission supports the social and pastoral work worldwide and promotes about 600 projects in over 50 countries. It is offering support in the areas of catastrophe and refugee relief, health care and social work, education and vocational training, ecology and agriculture, pastoral and human rights work.
"Jesuit Volunteers" ist the volunteer programme of jesuitenweltweit and offers a 12 month volunteering service for Germans in an other country.
The fundamental chief aim is to provide a widespread learning programme that enables people of all ages to make a difference. In doing so they are supported and accompanied so that they can take a stand in solidarity for a more social, equal and humane society. With the option of living a “different” life for one year, our participants get the possibility to acquire various experiences at social, political and cultural level and to experience the different realities of life as well as to reflect those from different points of view.

The target group definition of the volunteer programme “Jesuit Volunteers” emphasizes on an inter-generational, inter-professional and inter-confessional / inter-religious alignment. The focus of the annual selection of the applicants is on young adults at the age of 18 to 30. For example:
- youth / young adults after completing their school education: high school gradients (Abiturienten), gradients of secondary school (Mittlere Reife) or students with any other accomplished school education.
- young adults with completed vocational training
- university students during or just after their degree.

Die Jesuitenmission / jesuitenweltweit ist die Hilfsorganisation der deutschen Jesuiten. Jesuitenweltweit unterstützt die soziale und pastorale Arbeit weltweit und fördert rund 600 Projekte in über 50 Ländern. Sie bietet Unterstützung in den Bereichen Katastrophen- und Flüchtlingshilfe, Gesundheits- und Sozialwesen, Bildung und Berufsausbildung, Ökologie und Landwirtschaft, Pastoral- und Menschenrechtsarbeit.
"Jesuit Volunteers" ist das Freiwilligenprogramm von jesuitenweltweit und bietet einen 12-monatigen Freiwilligendienst für Deutsche im Ausland an. Grundlegendes Hauptziel des Freiwilligenprogramms „Jesuit Volunteers“ ist es, ein umfassendes Lern-programm zu bieten, welches Menschen jeden Alters Raum für Veränderungen ermöglicht, sie dabei unterstützt und begleitet, damit diese sich solidarisch für eine sozialere, gerechtere, humanere Gesellschaft einsetzen können. Mit der Option für ein Jahr „anders“ zu leben, erhalten die Teilnehmenden an unserem Programm die Möglichkeit in einem anderen Land vielschichtige Erfahrungen auf sozialer, gesellschaftlicher, politischer, kultureller Ebene zu sammeln und die verschiedenen Lebensrealitäten vor Ort intensiv zu erfahren sowie diese multiperspektivisch zu reflektieren.
Das Freiwilligenprogamm „Jesuit Volunteers“ forciert in seiner Zielgruppendefinition eine intergenera-tionelle, interprofessionelle, interkonfessionelle / interreligiöse Ausrichtung. Die Schwerpunktsetzung in der jährlichen Auswahl der Bewerberinnen & Bewerber sind junge Erwachsene im Alter von 18 bis 30 Jahren.
Zum Beispiel:
- Jugendliche / junge Erwachsene nach Abschluss der Schulbildung: Abiturientinnen & Abiturienten, SchülerInnen mit Mittlerer Reife oder Fachabitur oder mit sonstiger erfüllter Schulpflicht.
- junge Erwachsene mit abgeschlossener Berufsausbildung
- Studierende während des oder direkt nach Abschluss ihres Studiums.
