The MJC of Gourdon (4300 inhabitants) is an association of popular education governed by the law of July 1st, 1901. Its vocation is to promote the autonomy and the blooming of people, to allow everyone to have access to education and culture so that everyone participates in the construction of a more united society. The MJC's mission is to animate places of experimentation and social innovation responding to the expectations of the inhabitants.
The MJC of Gourdon is affiliated to the FRMJC of Occitanie-Pyrénées.
Here are the main activities of the MJC of Gourdon :
- CLUBS AND WORKSHOPS (dance, artistic, craft and/or creative leisure activities, sports, wellness)
- CHILDREN'S ACTIVITIES: educational activities for children from 3 to 12 years old on different times (morning, noon and evening in schools, Wednesdays and school vacations)
- LOCAL AND CULTURAL ANIMATION (carnival, project of a new music center, neighbors' party, MJC show, game festival)
- CULTURAL DISPLAY AND PROGRAMMING (Stand-up, theater, exhibitions, live shows, artist residencies)
- SOCIAL LIFE ANIMATION (schooling support, workshops for families, parenting support, games library)
- YOUTH ACTIVITIES (international exchanges, BAFA, baby-sitting, civic service, CES)
The MJC team is represented by 17 employees and 15 volunteers who work together in a transversal dimension.
- Din l-organizzazzjoni għandha Tikketta tal-Kwalità tal-Korp Ewropew ta’ Solidarjetà. It-Tikketta tal-Kwalità tiċċertifika li l-organizzazzjoni tista’ twettaq proġetti f’konformità mal-prinċipji u l-objettivi tal-Korp Ewropew ta’ Solidarjetà.
