The Maison de l’Europe Drôme Ardèche is a non-profit association under the French law of 1901.

Since its creation in 2012, the Maison de l’Europe Drôme Ardèche has aimed to raise awareness about the EU—its history, culture, institutions, policies, and funding programs—and to encourage youth participation in international mobility. It organizes events, conferences, debates, and public info stands. Through local media, it provides European news in Drôme and Ardèche. It develops educational tools for activities, available to members and partners, and engages with schools (primary to higher education) and disadvantaged groups (local missions, priority education areas, social centers, etc.).

Since 2015, the NGO has been labelled “Europe Direct”. It is managed by the DG for Communication of the European Commission and its Representation in France. Three missions are associated with this label: an objective, and free information for all; educational mission through school activities and local or regional events; guidance for seeking European funding.

As a member of the FFME, the NGO benefits from “Association éducative complémentaire de l’enseignement public” awarded by the Ministry of National Education for activities carried out within schools, which enables the organisation to act.

The NGO is supported by the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes Region through its membership in the URALE (Union Régionale des Acteurs Locaux de l’Europe), the Ardèche department, and Valence Romans Agglo.
