Verbund sozialer Dienste gGmbH (VSD) is working in the field of child and youth welfare in the surrounding of Bad Essen near Osnabrück. Charly's Kinderparadies Dissen Kindergarten gGmbH was founded in Dissen in 2019 as a subsidiary of VSD. Dissen is located on the Teutoburg Forest on the border with North Rhine-Westphalia and has a population of around 10,000. The centre has two full-day groups and one half-day group, with core care hours from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm. Each group is staffed by two educational specialists. The educational concept of Charlys Dissen is based on the recommendations for the orientation plan for education and upbringing in elementary day care centres in Lower Saxony.
