The Offener Freizeittreff (OFT) Völkerfreundschaft is a youth welfare service from the open child and youth work program, aimed at children and young people between the ages of 6 and 27. Our core target group are 10 to 14-year-olds, followed by 14 to 18-year-olds. We are organised by the Office for Youth and Family from the city of Leipzig. Our aim is to create an offer in youth work where young people can connect with their interests, have a say and co-create. This should enable them to make their own decisions and encourage and guide them towards social responsibility and social commitment. We therefore offer various leisure activities, some of which take place on a very regular basis, for example the open meeting place where there are games, creative and sports activities. We also have temporary activities, such as workshops, special projects and events.
