Borda high school is located in the heart of Dax, a little town in the Landes known for its hot springs and rich cultural heritage. It offers a large array of programmes, from general and technological secondary education to higher education. There are 1928 students aged 15 to 21, divided into 72 divisions. 178 teachers work from Monday to Friday. The school welcomes students from diverse backgrounds, all united by the desire to learn, grow, and succeed. Besides, the school is thriving with various projects to fight gender stereotypes in STEM and empower young girls, give students more ambition to choose selective courses in further education, teach environment-friendly practices, raise awareness about bullying to help develop a more careful attitude to one's peers, and broaden the students' horizons. The E3D and PHARe labels testify to the school's strong commitment to major causes and set guidelines for many learning projects related to sustainability, health, prevention of violence and risky behaviours, and discrimination. Moreover, the school's signing up the Erasmus + Charter for higher education is part of its desire to open up internationally and promote student mobility. To top it all, cinema sessions and drama sessions, a drama improvisation club, art mediations and school trips are often organised to give students the opportunity to open up to new subjects.
