Opis organizácie

Generation (Change?) (VO/2049) is a nonprofit organisation formed by qualified youth workers and young people. The aims are : a. To raise awareness on issues relating to the wellbeing of society and the environment with the focus on the role young people can play, through non-formal education and activities. b. To provide a platform for young people to be able to contribute, specifically in relation to social issues, both on a national and international level. c. To seek and promote the inclusion of young people from all diverse backgrounds within their communities. d. To provide support to young people through the use of a youth work methodology. e. To encourage, promote and support the active citizenship of youth through workshops, sessions and projects based learning. F. To promote and develop quality youth work by supporting innovative practices and professional growth in the field. We work on these aims and objectives through different projects and programmes. As main activities the organisation runs a youth hub and the "All Hands on Deck" project which provide youth with a dynamic learning experience through boat maintenance, enhancing their practical skills, life skills, and critical thinking in a project-based environment that encourages lifelong learning. Our target groups are challenging and socially deprived individuals and those that are not in education or employment. Age 16-25 The area that we predominantly work in Malta, is the Southern Harbour region.
