L’Europe en jeux – Europe through Games is an exciting volunteering project centered around youth empowerment, non-formal education, solidarity, and the core values of the European idea.

Based at the Robert Schuman House Museum in Scy-Chazelles (Northeastern France), this initiative empowers young people to actively strengthen democracy, citizenship, and social cohesion across Europe.

Key Responsibilities

As a long-term volunteer with the CERS educational team, you will get hands-on experience in the following areas:

  • Promote europe through play: Design and lead fun, interactive educational activities for approximately 5,000 young visitors each school year.
  • Innovate & create: Bring fresh ideas to update and develop new engaging educational tools and resources.
  • Support european projects: Assist in running major international initiatives (including E+, CERV, OFAJ, etc.).
  • Act as an ESC ambassador: Inspire young people to take part in mobility opportunities through the ESC.
Akkomodazzjoni, ikel u arranġamenti tat-trasport

The volunteer will be accommodated in a residence/dorm in Metz (about 200,000 inhabitants), at around 10km from the office of the CERS. The volunteer will have his/her own fully-equipped small apartment with a kitchenette and a bathroom and will regularly meet people. It is highly important that the volunteer keeps it clean and in a good general state. The volunteer will receive a monthly allowance for food and pocket money. A monthly bus travel card and a train travel card will be provided to the volunteer.

To ensure project quality and support your growth, this long-term experience includes four key training steps:

  • Pre-Departure Training: Covers intercultural skills, crisis management, and goal-setting before you leave.
  • On-Arrival Training: A 2-week onboarding session to help you settle in and meet the team.
  • Mid-Term Training: A mid-way check-in to review progress, tackle challenges, and adjust goals.
  • Final Evaluation Week: A concluding review to celebrate achievements and plan your next steps.
Profil tal-parteċipant

This long-term volunteering project is open to any resident aged 18 to 30 from EU member states. We are seeking a motivated, open-minded, and sociable individual who is passionate about European affairs, political education, and civic engagement.

Key Requirements & Assets:

  • Proactive & Creative: Ability to take initiative, contribute fresh ideas, and adapt to changing daily activities.
  • Strong Interpersonal Skills: Enthusiastic about meeting new people, facilitating team activities, and communicating effectively.
  • Language Skills: Proficiency in French and/or German is a strong asset, given our regional context and international audience.
  • Long-Term Commitment: Fully dedicated to completing the entire duration of the volunteering period.
