Efem Akdeniz Youth Association is a non-profit organization supporting the development and active participation of children and youth from diverse backgrounds. It organizes educational, cultural and social activities that promote creativity, personal growth and social inclusion. As a cultural NGO, Efem promotes Turkish Folk Music and Folk Dance while strengthening awareness of cultural values and active citizenship. The association provides workshops and courses in English, Turkish and other languages, helping youth improve communication skills and access new opportunities. Activities with children encourage creativity and early awareness of English through games, music, drama and interactive learning. Efem also promotes environmental responsibility through nature activities, recycling awareness, plant and tree planting, and activities encouraging youth to protect their local environment. It cooperates with national and international partners to broaden young people’s horizons.

Akkomodazzjoni, ikel u arranġamenti tat-trasport

In Antalya’s Konyaaltı district, you will live in a house near the beach together with another ESC volunteer. The house includes a shared kitchen and living room, bathroom, your own single bedroom, and a garden. It is fully equipped with amenities such as air conditioning, internet, TV, computer, washing machine, printer, and tea and coffee maker. The accommodation is within walking or cycling distance of your workplace and well connected by public transport. Your commute will take no more than 20 minutes. The house is also very close to a local street market where fresh fruits and vegetables

Taħriġ matul l-attività

The volunteer will improve their Turkish skills, discover Turkish Folk Music and learn basic bağlama. They will teach English in three municipal kindergartens through games, drama, music and interactive activities. They will explore Antalya’s biodiversity, endemic plants and local cuisine, while joining activities and speaking clubs with universities, youth centers and youth NGOs. Efem Akdeniz Youth Association will provide continuous mentoring and support before arrival and throughout the volunteer’s stay in Türkiye.

Profil tal-parteċipant

The volunteer should have a good command of English (B1–B2 level) and be motivated to work with children in an international environment. We are looking for someone who is patient, open-minded, creative and responsible, and who enjoys designing activities such as games, music, drama, storytelling, handicrafts and interactive workshops that help children practice English in a fun and engaging way.

 An interest in arts and crafts and the ability to create simple hands-on activities with children would be an advantage. The volunteer should also be interested in learning Turkish, discovering Turkish Folk Music and learning basic Bağlama. Basic digital skills and the ability to ride a bicycle are expected. Most importantly, the volunteer should be willing to take initiative, share their own ideas and culture, and actively engage with local young people, universities, youth centers and NGOs.
