Going green

Sist oppdatert Onsdag, 04/11/2020

Climate action, environment and nature protection are increasingly popular Corps topics. Since 2017 more than 1100 projects addressing climate, environmental and nature protection have been funded involving more than 7500 participants.

Are you looking to contribute to climate action and environment protection through opportunities provided by the European Solidarity Corps? Look for projects dealing with these topics in your dashboard or set up a ‘green’ solidarity project yourself!

We are glad to present you some of the projects dealing with green issues:

“Repair Café” participants in Tartu, Estonia give broken household items a new life. In “Climate Awareness” in Sweden, volunteers help with the organic food growing, restore biodiversity and create edible landscapes in an ecovillage. “Urban Ecology” in Bulgaria focuses on raising awareness and offering sustainable models for environmental protection and a healthy lifestyle in Varna. The solidarity project “Wintertide” aimed to recover a natural coastal area nearby the urban centres of Trani and Barletta in Italy.

Read about these projects in this factsheet and for inspiration search for more funded projects on the topic of your interest on the European Solidarity Corps projects database.
