From 21-29 April 2025, I had the honour of representing the organisation Tinos Youth in the training course "Clownpath 3.0", hosted in the village of Dobczyce, near Krakow, Poland, by Fundacja Innowacyjnej Edukacji.
Together with two other participants from Greece, I took part in a multicultural and dynamic non-formal education experience, alongside young people and youth workers from Poland, Greece, Turkey, North Macedonia, Italy, Romania, and Hungary.
The programme focused on the use of clowning as an educational and social tool, promoting inclusion, resilience, and a creative response to radicalism through experiential, artistic methods. Through workshops, trust-building exercises, and theatrical techniques, I had the opportunity to deepen my understanding of non-formal learning principles, develop skills related to emotional intelligence, cooperation, and personal expression, and engage with innovative educational practices.
My participation in the programme contributed significantly to both my personal and professional development. I enhanced skills that I will apply in the field of youth work, strengthened my confidence as a facilitator in intercultural settings, and built meaningful networks with organisations from across Europe.
Clownpath 3.0 was not just a training course; it was a living community of creative individuals using art and play to foster inclusion, connection, and mutual understanding on an international level. Beyond the knowledge and educational value, this journey offered me human moments, new friendships, and emotional connections.
One of the most important reminders I take with me is that joy is found in simple acts of play and spontaneity; moments that may seem small, but that are deeply meaningful and essential to the quality of human life.
I am truly grateful for the opportunity to participate in this programme, and I am committed to applying what I have learned to strengthen my work with young people in both local and European contexts.
