The award of the travel passes and discount cards will be carried out by country of residence and/or citizenship where applicable, in accordance with the number of travel passes allocated to each country (see the Quota per country section on the European Youth Portal). This allocation principle is based on the Erasmus+ Programme, key action 1, individual mobility “youth” distribution key.
You can check the status of your application on the European Youth Portal. Please keep a copy of your DiscoverEU application code. Do not share it (e.g. on social media) except with the authorised contractor designated by the European Commission and EACEA. In addition, when the evaluation process will be completed, applicants will receive an email notification. It is important that you can be reached via the email you indicated in your application.
You will find the answer in the Rules section 4. ‘Award process’.

Young people with UK citizenship can only apply if they reside in EU Member States or third countries associated to the Erasmus+ Programme. UK citizens residing in the United Kingdom cannot apply as the United Kingdom left the European Union on 31 January 2020.
All participants who will complete the survey, which is sent to them automatically after their travel, will be provided with a certificate of participation. This certificate documents learning outcomes, includes elements of key competences acquired and is inspired by the Youthpass.
The European Commission would like to hear back from the young travellers and encourages them to share their experiences and adventures. That is why all participants may become DiscoverEU Ambassadors. They are invited to share their travel experiences through social media tools or by providing a presentation at their school or their local community. Participants are welcome to join the #DiscoverEU official Facebook Group.
