The regulation 2021/888 setting out the legal framework for the European Solidarity Corps programme, adopted on 20 May, confirmed the new generation of the Corps for 2021-2027 with a budget of EUR 1.009 billion.
Calls for proposals
A general call for proposals is published each year, offering opportunities for organisations and young people. It includes:
- the objectives of the European Solidarity Corps
- an overview of the areas in which the Corps is active
- details of which organisations and young people are eligible to take part
- the budget and duration of projects
- application deadlines for each area of activity.
See the latest call for proposals in the Calls section.
The European Solidarity Corps Guide
The Guide will tell you everything you want to know about the programme. It is an integral part of the call for proposals. If your organisation is applying for funding, it must abide by the conditions for participation and funding set out in the Guide.

Implementation guidelines - Erasmus+ and European Solidarity Corps Inclusion and Diversity Strategy
The Implementation guidelines - Erasmus+ and European Solidarity Corps Inclusion and Diversity Strategy is a result of the Erasmus+ and European Solidarity Corps co-creation process, in particular to reinforce their inclusion and diversity dimension. Decision on lump sums, unit costs & flat-rate financing
The annex to the Decision authorising the use of lump sums, unit costs and flat-rate financing for volunteering and Solidarity Projects covered by the European Solidarity Corps provides a detailed description of the unit costs. The relevant unit costs and the applicable rates have been published in the European Solidarity Corps Guide every year since 2018.
Dissemination requirements for beneficiaries
In line with the contribution agreement, all beneficiaries must use the EU emblem in their communication to acknowledge the support received under EU programmes. An important obligation in this context is the correct and prominent display of the EU emblem, in combination with a simple funding statement, mentioning the EU support.
The ready-to-use EU emblem including the funding statement can be downloaded in all EU languages, Arabic, Islandic, Norwegian, Turkish and Russian via the Logo Download Center.
Information about the correct use and placement of EU emblem and the funding statement can be found in the Operational guidelines for recipients of EU funding.
Distance calculator
If you intend to apply for a grant to cover some of your travel costs, please use the distance calculator provided. It enables organisations to calculate individuals’ travel distances and thereby the grants for which they are eligible.
To use the calculator
- Start typing a place name in the ‘Start’ box. A list of possible place names will appear. Click on the correct one.
- Do the same thing with the ‘End’ box.
- Press the ‘Enter’ key on your keyboard. The distance in kilometres will appear.
You must type in the name of a specific city, town, or village - not just a country.
This tool is not designed to tell individuals how much funding they should receive. The size of the grant depends on factors including the administrative costs incurred by participating organisations and the National Agencies. It is the National Agency assessing the application that has the last word on the amount of the travel grant.
